My Role
I rescued a failed redesign project with an impossible deadline—50+ pages needed in less than a month before their annual Ag show. My work included architecting the mega-navigation system, building a component library for rapid page creation, implementing advanced location search functionality, managing a 400+ item CMS structure, and somehow delivering everything on time while maintaining quality and consistency across the massive site.
Challenges Faced
Building 50+ pages in under a month meant completely rethinking my typical process—no time for perfectionism, only smart efficiency. The mega-navigation needed to handle complex information architecture while keeping any page accessible within three clicks. The location search required filtering through hundreds of facilities with different services. Previous agency failure meant extra stakeholder anxiety, requiring constant communication to rebuild trust while racing against time.
Process & Discovery
With no time for extensive research, I analyzed the failed redesign to understand what went wrong—poor navigation and inconsistent components. I immediately built a scalable class system and component library that let me create pages in hours, not days. The mega-navigation design borrowed from e-commerce patterns, making agricultural services as easy to find as shopping online. Jetboost integration solved the complex filtering needs without custom development time.

Design Overview
The design balances agricultural authenticity with modern usability through earth tones and clean layouts that let Landus' stunning farm photography shine. The mega-navigation uses clear categorization with hover states revealing deeper options without overwhelming. Subtle animations guide users through complex information hierarchies. The component-based system ensures visual consistency across all 50+ pages while allowing flexibility for unique content needs.

Technologies used

The results & business impact after site launch
Monthly visitors jumped from 2k to 6.5k, validating that farmers finally found the platform usable. The component system reduced future page creation time by 80%, letting Landus' team expand content independently. Press release publishing went from a day-long developer task to a 10-minute self-service process. Most importantly, Landus had a professional platform ready for their annual Ag show, turning a potential embarrassment into a competitive advantage. The rescue mission became one of my proudest achievements—proof that smart systems beat perfect pixels when deadlines loom.
