My Role
As the in-house designer and developer for PHENYX, I led the complete redesign from concept to launch. I architected the color-coding system for services, designed and built personalized team profile pages, created custom graphics for each service, and implemented the strategic hero section that clearly communicated the MODS subscription program—all while maintaining the existing CMS structure.
Challenges Faced
Making each service page unique while working within a single CMS template required creative problem-solving through custom graphics and dynamic color systems. Clearly communicating what PHENYX does—especially the MODS subscription program—in the hero section without overwhelming visitors took multiple iterations. Balancing the edgy dark theme with accessibility standards meant careful contrast testing across all color variations.
Process & Discovery
Moving away from Colorado's mountain-inspired palette, I researched tech-forward agencies to position PHENYX as an innovation leader. The color-association strategy came from cognitive psychology research on memory retention. After analyzing user behavior, I discovered visitors wanted to quickly understand MODS, leading to the simplified "1-2-3" hero section that broke down the subscription model into digestible steps.

Design Overview
The dark theme creates that "edgy" tech startup vibe while purple and blue gradients position PHENYX as forward-thinking. Each service gets its own signature color—creating mental anchors that help prospects remember offerings. Team profile pages feature custom layouts with fun facts and authored blogs, humanizing the agency. The "1-2-3" MODS breakdown uses bold typography and iconography to simplify complex subscription tiers into scannable information.

The results & business impact after site launch
Ten verified customer acquisitions directly from the website proved the design's effectiveness at converting visitors. The 1.5k monthly visitor increase showed improved market positioning, while the robust 200+ record CMS enabled consistent content marketing. The personalized team profiles changed prospect conversations—clients often mentioned specific team members they wanted to work with. Most importantly, the clear MODS presentation in the hero reduced explanation calls by 40%, letting the sales team focus on closing rather than educating.
