Project Overview

SeeMeHireMe wanted to shake up hiring with their "5D" video resume concept — letting candidates submit videos alongside applications so both sides get a better feel for fit. Think LinkedIn meets Indeed, but with actual human connection built in. My job was to create comprehensive dashboards for both job seekers and employers that made video-enhanced hiring feel natural.

My Role

As the sole product designer, I owned the entire interface design for both candidate and employer dashboards. This meant mapping out hundreds of user flows and crafting over 30 unique pages from scratch — everything from signup flows and video upload interfaces to application management systems and interview scheduling tools.

User Research Insights

Research revealed that candidates felt resumes couldn't capture their personality, while employers admitted they often made hiring decisions within seconds of meeting someone. Existing platforms treated video as an afterthought. Users wanted it integrated seamlessly — employers needed to quickly scan video applications without time sink, while candidates worried about tech barriers and looking professional on camera.

Problem/Challenge

The biggest challenge? Designing two completely different products under one roof. Candidates needed encouragement and simplicity to feel confident recording videos, while employers needed powerful filtering tools to handle hundreds of video applications. Each dashboard had to feel tailored to its audience while maintaining a cohesive platform experience.

Design Approach

I went with a clean, light theme that felt professional but not intimidating. Subtle shadows added depth, while strategic pops of color guided users through complex workflows. Custom video components let employers quickly scrub through applications, while stepped recording processes made video creation feel more like a conversation than a performance.

The Results

The results of the project and looking ahead

After a year of iterations, I delivered a complete hiring ecosystem with over 30 pages spanning both dashboards. Candidates could build profiles, record multiple video resumes, and track applications. Employers got tools to post jobs, filter candidates, review videos efficiently, and collaborate with their team. SeeMeHireMe finally had their all-in-one solution that made video resumes feel like the natural evolution of hiring.
